Support

If something isn't working, write to support@telehopper.app. There's a good chance the answer is one of the three below.

Before you write

Two things make a fix much faster: your iOS version, and the Build line from Settings → Diagnostics inside Telehopper. If a specific article or PDF is the problem, send the link or the file too.

A voice sounds robotic. Can I get a better one?

Yes — free, and it makes the single biggest difference to how Telehopper sounds. iPhones ship with a basic voice and keep the good ones as an optional download. Most people have never turned them on.

  1. Open Settings (the iPhone one, not Telehopper)
  2. Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices
  3. Pick your language, then download a voice marked Enhanced or Premium
  4. Back in Telehopper, choose it under Voice

The download is a few hundred megabytes and happens once. Afterwards it still runs entirely on your iPhone, offline, at no cost.

How do I get an article into Telehopper?

Telehopper is built around the iOS share sheet rather than its own browser. Anywhere you see the share icon — Safari, Messages, Mail, Files, a PDF, selected text — tap it and choose Telehopper. The item lands in your queue and starts extracting.

If Telehopper isn't in the share sheet, scroll the app row to the end, tap More, and switch it on. iOS sometimes hides newly installed extensions until you do this once.

A link didn't extract properly

Telehopper pulls the article text out of the page and throws away the navigation, ads and cookie banners. Some pages defeat that:

The reliable fallback is to select the text in Safari and share that — Telehopper accepts raw text as happily as a link. If a page you think should work doesn't, send us the URL; extraction is something we improve against real examples.

A PDF reads strangely

Telehopper rebuilds paragraphs before reading a PDF, so it shouldn't pause at the end of every visual line or announce page numbers. If one still reads like a layout instead of prose, that PDF is a useful bug report — send it along if you're able to share it.

Where is my data?

On your iPhone. Telehopper has no accounts and no server storage, which also means there's nothing for us to look up on your behalf if something goes missing. Deleting the app deletes your queue with it. See the privacy policy.
